Oscar ready: Buzzy biopic about Jackie Kennedy will be featured at Houston Cinema Arts Festival (CultureMap)

Academy Award winner Natalie Portman is expected to be in the thick of this year’s Oscar race, garnering early buzz for her role as Jackie Kennedy in the film, Jackie, which traces the former first lady’s life in the tragic days after her husband was assassinated. Houston Cinema Arts Festival goers will get a chance to see the film at the annual festival next month in advance of its release on December 9.

HCAF officials announced that Jackie will screen on November 11 at 7 pm at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.
