Borders | No Borders
This competition is a part of the annual Houston Cinema Arts Festival. It invites residents of Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Mexico as well as filmmakers with meaningful ties to these areas to submit narrative and documentary short films.
Cinespace
CineSpace is a short film competition from NASA and the Houston Cinema Arts Society (HCAS), inviting filmmakers worldwide to create films inspired by and using real NASA imagery. Winners and finalists screen at the annual Houston Cinema Arts Festival.
Houston Filmmaker Showcase
Hosted monthly at the historic River Oaks Theatre. This ongoing series highlights the work of local filmmakers across a wide range of forms, including narrative, documentary, experimental, and animated films, as well as music videos and new media projects.
