Houston Cinema Arts Festival, 2016 Opening Next Week (My Red Glasses)

The Houston Cinema Arts Festival is about to begin its recently expanded run…..Thursday, November 10 thru Thursday, November 17 at various venues around the city. This year the Festival will pay tribute to legendary cinematographer Frederick Elmes and “L.A. Rebellion” director Billy Woodberry and most exciting is it will shine a spotlight on independent women directors and other important panel discussions, including Texas Monthly. It will also be showcasing many critically acclaimed new releases that are already getting much award buzz such as LaLa Land and Jackie, personal movies with Houston ties such as Ella Brennan’s story and many more global talents and live performers.
