HCAS, MFAH Films And UH Arts Collaborate On Being Flynn Screening

Movie audiences will get to know University of Houston professor Nick Flynn a little better next week. On March 16, “Being Flynn” (based on his memoir “Another Bull … . Night in Suck City”) hits theaters nationwide. The film details Flynn’s reconnection with his estranged father, Jonathan Flynn (play ed by Robert De Niro ). Jonathan claims to be among America’s greatest storytellers while Nick (portrayed by Paul Dano in the film) also is a writer. After 18 years apart, their lives suddenly intersect as Jonathan becomes a frequent residen t at the homeless shelter where Nick happens to work.
