 Ashes - Jessica Kantor

Inside the doors of the 360 Cinema, outfitted with a Virtual Reality headset, you will explore strange new worlds and realities, float through artistic imaginings and explore new modes of immersive storytelling—all without leaving the 360 Cinema theater. The slate of films offers a diverse range of immersive video content ranging from experimental storytelling, to immersive dance, to abstract metaphorical 360 artworks.

Programs are presented on 90 minutes intervals; tickets are sold separately for each time slot.  Each time slot has 40 seats.

WARNING: Some mature content, suggested for ages 13+. People prone to motion sickness may experience discomfort.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR ALL ACCESS PASS HOLDERS:

Due to limited seating, sessions for 360 Cinema have 10 seats reserved during each session for All-Access Pass Holders.  Please arrive 30 minutes prior to published session times to secure your place.  If a session is sold out – you may reserve for a subsequent session at the Sawyer Yards Box Office on site.

Special Guests

Kim Voynar

CEO and Chief “Imaginator” of WonderTek Labs (Seattle), a virtual reality content and consulting studio, Kim Voynar has extensive experience as a film critic, film festivals editor and frequent juror, panelist and moderator on the film festival circuit. She is the on-air co-host for The Daily Buzz, a public radio program and podcast that broadcasts from the Sundance Film Festival and SXSW.   In 2015 she co-founded WonderTek Labs and began to focus on her own work as a visual artist. Her passions are experimenting on the edge where music, film, and art intersect with emerging tech and creating access, equity and opportunity for under-represented groups in the STEAM, VR and film industries.

Jessica Kantor

A 360 dance pioneer, Jessica Kantor is a Los Angeles based writer, director, and creative consultant. She is highly sought after for her work in virtual and augmented reality, having developed a unique perspective of place, movement, and world building that she now brings to traditional filmmaking. Kantor’s recent work, Alcoholocaust, a music video for rising artist Rebecca Perl, premiered at the LA Shorts Fest 2018.  Her VR work has premiered at film festivals worldwide including Cannes Marché, Edinburgh DOGI Fest, and Tribeca Film Festival.  Recently, Together as One made for Oculus as part of the VR for Good Program premieres October 2018 at San Francisco Dance Film Festival.

Mike Anderson

New Media Ltd is a directing trio of Mike Anderson, Ryan Dickie and Abigail Horton. Based in Brooklyn, NY and Portalnd, OR, New Media Ltd has won numerous awards for animation and filmmaking, including 6 Vimeo Staff Picks, Vimeo Best of The Year 2017, 2 Cannes YDA’s, a D&AD Pencil, a Webby Nomination, and Top 25 New Faces of Independent Film in 2017.

Hui Cha Poos

Hui has worked in the industry as a dancer, choreographer, producer, instructor and director in London, Japan, Korea, British Columbia, Italy and most of the United States.  Her experience with and love for musical theatre began in Oklahoma with the shows, A Chorus Line and Peter Pan.  She then worked in Los Angeles and can be seen in the feature films “Batman & Robin” and “Happy Texas”.  She has taught at the University of Central Oklahoma for over 15 years and is responsible for creating and developing their growing Jazz Department as well as being Coordinator of Oklahoma's only accredited Dance Education program.
