HCAS is thrilled to welcome guests to our 13th annual Houston Cinema Arts Festival. We are strongly committed to the health and safety of our patrons, volunteers, and staff. In order to maintain the safest environment possible, all HCAS staff and volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Please see below our policies for patrons attending our 2021 Festival:
All Festival Attendees will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR) within 48 hours prior to the performance. The results must have been performed by a third party, such as a lab or clinic. At-home tests will not be accepted. Guests can show either paper or electronic documentation, including a photo of the negative test result.
Guests who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 may bring proof of vaccination as a substitute for a negative COVID-19 test result. The CDC defines “fully vaccinated” as 14 days after your final vaccine shot. Guests can show either paper or electronic documentation, including a photo of your official vaccine card.
Houston Cinema Arts Society requires all guests to wear a face mask covering nose and mouth at all times while attending any of our indoor screenings. Any guest’s refusal to wear a mask will result in that guest being asked to leave, and you will not be eligible for a refund on your ticket or pass.
To ensure proper mask protocols, no food or drink will be offered in our indoor screening venues. Any refreshments offered will be served outdoors and no food or drink will be permitted in the venue theatres.
The Houston Cinema Arts Festival COVID-19 Guest Policy is subject to change as we continue to work with local health and government officials. We will update all passholders and ticket holders in advance of their ticketed screening if any changes occur. By purchasing a ticket to an HCAS event, you are acknowledging these policies and consenting to follow all Festival regulations.
