CINESPACE
CineSpace, a short film competition, is a collaboration between NASA and Houston Cinema Arts Society that offers filmmakers around the world a chance to share their works inspired by, and using, actual NASA imagery. Filmmakers are asked to make a short film, of 10 mins or less duration, that contains at least 10% footage from the NASA Archives. The finalists are judged by Academy Award-Nominated director Richard Linklater. Winners are announced and screened along with all finalists at the annual Houston Cinema Arts Festival in November.
Since 2015, CineSpace has awarded over $25,000 in prizes to filmmakers every year.
Submission for 2019 are closed! Submissions for CineSpace 2020 will open at the beginning of next year!
The Winners for CineSpace 2019 have been announced!
