CINESPACE

CineSpace, a short film competition, is a collaboration between NASA and Houston Cinema Arts Society that offers filmmakers around the world a chance to share their works inspired by, and using, actual NASA imagery. Filmmakers are asked to make a short film, of 10 mins or less duration, that contains at least 10% footage from the NASA Archives.  Winners are announced and screened along with all finalists at the annual Houston Cinema Arts Festival which is held in November.

Since 2015 CineSpace has awarded over $25,000 in prizes to filmmakers every year.

SUBMISSIONS FOR 2018 ARE NOW CLOSED – Please visit in January of 2019 for the new call for works.

The Finalists for CineSpace 2018 will be announced on October 15, 2018 – watch this space!
